Well, I have to admit...OMFG!!!! It was a great ep!
I am glad to see that Russell T Davies was back on the writing wagon again!
Utopia was great! It was full of intrigue and surprises. This Will be spoilers so...come to think of it most of you would have already watched it anyway. So here goes...
we start out with the Doctor and Martha having some problems (technical) in the Tardis.
cut to Captain Jack Harkness running after the Tardis. Well talk about a leap of faith...
The Doctor sees Jack running after the Tardis and he dematerializes.
A very determined Jack latches on to the Tardis and flies thru the time vortex holding on for dear life.
Well the Tardis, not very compatible with him out there due to being a fixed point in time and space, tried to shake him off.
So after a few pleasantries and a how's Rose? (so t speak) they all end up at the End of the universe, running from these sharp toothed humans who want to eat the regular humans. Well after a quick run for your life they end up in a refugee camp of sorts. \
They find Professor Yana...oooohhh. Between that and Bad Wolf I think there is a somethin goin on in the universe. When you see the end of the ep you'll know what I mean. So this Prof seems to be having some kind of Deja Vu.
the Doctor realizes this Professor is a brilliant man for making this rocket to save the rest of the people.
Jack and the Doc go off to do something only Jack can do because he can't die, Martha discovers that the Professor has a fob watch...just like the Doctor's. dun dun dUUUUUUUUUnnnnnnnnn!
we also find out that the Professors name, Yana has a bit of significanse. Not as much as Bad Wolf but...
Our heroes have a problem. Yana has unlocked the gates and let our sharped toothed pals in, then goes into the Tardis. Martha and Jack are trapped trying to close the doors to avoid being put on the menu and the Doctor...Well, the Doctor tries to get into the Tardis, (which Yana seems to have put the deadbolt on), and comes to a frightening conclusion...He knows who is really inside his Tardis...
The Tardis dematerializes and the Doctor, Jack, and Martha are left to who knows what fate....
Overall, I loved the episode. I love the fact that RTD wrote it. he has not written a bad ep in my POV. The other eps (some of them weren't as strong but I can never be disappointed by him.
